My Thoughts On ISIS And What We Should Do (Mixed Thoughts)

So to me it's pretty obvious that ISIS is a bad organization that does not represent the real Islam.  They have done so much damage to our world and caused so many problems.  It seems like they are always in the news and have done another horrific act.  For example yesterday, I saw an article on CNN about how they just executed hundreds of men and children.  So what should we do?  Some people say we should continue to offer support to nations in the Middle East and conduct airstrikes, and some people say we should have thousands of boots on the ground in Syria, Iraq, or both.  I will tell you that I see benefits and costs to doing both.  I hate just standing by while ISIS does terrible atrocities but I also realize that putting boots on the ground would do a number of things such as lose American lives, cost trillions of dollars, and possibly make things worse.  I feel that until we know a way the will guarantee that we will not make things worse, we continue doing what we are doing.  I am not completely convinced a large scale invasion will solve this issue but I don't want to stand by and let innocent people die.  I hope thought that someday there is peace in the region and ISIS is a distant memory.  Once again, thank you for listening to my thoughts and I hope you come back to ThinkerUSA soon to see more posts and articles!
